All your health data, where it belongs.

8,048 samples

Heart rate, bpm

Sample heart-rate series: 8,048 samples over 2 h 14 min, rising from about 96 bpm to peaks near 170 bpm on three climbs, then easing down.1001401800 h1 h2 h
Sample dataA sample ride of 2 h 14 min, one heart-rate sample per second. Every one of them goes to Apple Health.

Your files go in. Nothing comes back out.

SyncToHealth reads a FIT file, decodes it on your iPhone and writes one Apple Health workout from it. It never changes your files, never writes back to your device and never asks you to sign in.

Complete, not a summary

The route, every heart-rate sample, power, cadence and running dynamics, not just an average and a maximum.

No second copies

Each workout is recognised by its file’s own identity. Import the same file twice and nothing is added twice.

Nothing hidden

A Receipt lists what was written and every field that was skipped, with the reason.

Intake routes

Four ways in, all built on iOS.

Use whichever fits how you already work. Every route ends in the same careful Import.

Share sheet

Tap Share on a FIT file in any app, then choose SyncToHealth.

Files, AirDrop and Mail

Open .fit files from Files, AirDrop or an email. Select many at once, or open the ZIP from a Garmin account export to bring in your history.

Folder Watch

Choose one folder you already save FIT files to, for example in iCloud Drive. New files there, up to two subfolders deep, are imported. Checked when you open the app, and sometimes in the background.

Shortcuts

“Import FIT files” is an action in Shortcuts and Siri, so you can build it into your own shortcuts or put it on the Action Button.

Not sure where your FIT files are? Follow the export guide.

Receipt

See exactly what reached Apple Health.

Every Import ends with a Receipt: which fields were written and how many samples, whether the route came through, and every field that was skipped, with a plain reason.

Skipped is not an error. Some values have no place in Apple Health, and SyncToHealth tells you so instead of guessing.

What gets imported

A value is written only when Apple Health has a true home for it. Each one below is written whenever your file contains it.

Every workout

  • Full heart-rate series, every sample
  • GPS route
  • Elevation gained and lost
  • Distance and active energy
  • Temperature
  • Laps and pauses

Cycling

  • Power
  • Cadence
  • Speed
  • Road, mountain, gravel, cyclocross, indoor and virtual rides

Running

  • Running power
  • Running speed
  • Stride length
  • Vertical oscillation
  • Ground contact time
  • Road, trail, track and treadmill runs

Swimming and triathlon

  • Pool and open-water swims
  • Pool length, lengths and stroke style

Stays in the app

Skipped

Some values have no faithful place in Apple Health, so they are never written there. The Receipt lists each one with its reason.

  • Left/right power balance and pedalling dynamics
  • Running cadence and ground contact balance
  • Heart rate variability, measured differently from Apple Health’s
  • Device-specific scores such as training effect

Coming later

Later update

Daily data is planned for a later update, for the kinds your FIT files actually carry.

  • Sleep
  • Resting heart rate
  • All-day heart rate

Other sports are saved today as a general workout, with finer workout types to follow.

Already in Apple Health

No second copies. A better first one.

If another app already added a workout for the same session, SyncToHealth leaves it alone and marks the Import “Already in Apple Health”. The Receipt shows what that copy is missing. Delete it in the Health app, tap Upgrade, and the complete workout takes its place.

Nothing leaves your iPhone.

There is no account and no SyncToHealth server. Your files are read on your iPhone and written to Apple Health on your iPhone. Your workouts, routes and heart rate are never sent to us.

  • No sign-in, no account, no cloud copy of your health data
  • Only your import status and settings sync, through your own iCloud
  • Crash reports contain no health data, and you can turn them off
  • Anonymous usage statistics only if you opt in; off by default
  • No ads, no tracking, no selling data
